Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation (BSIC) has launched a one-stop service center under the Ministry of Industries to attract domestic and foreign investment.
Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun inaugurated the service at a hotel in the capital on Sunday (June 13th). BSIC Chairman Mushtaq Hasan presided over the function.
Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun said, ‘BSIC has entered a new era with the inauguration of One-Stop Service Center. There is no alternative to one-stop service in building a digital Bangladesh.’
The launch of One-Stop Service will enable the entrepreneurs interested in investing to ensure the fastest possible service. This will attract new domestic and foreign investment in BSIC industrial cities and will accelerate eco-friendly industrialization in the country, said BSIC Chairman Mushtaq Hasan.
With the launch of One-Stop Service, very small, small, medium, cottage and medium enterprises will be able to access all the related services including trade license, land registration, naming, environmental clearance, construction approval, electricity, gas and water connection, telephone connection, explosives license, boiler certificate, applying and getting these services from one place through BSCIC.
State Minister for Industries Kamal Hossain Majumder, Senior Secretary in the Ministry of Public Administration KM Ali Azam, Secretary in the Ministry of Industries Zakia Sultana and President of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) Jasim Uddin were also present on the occasion.
