Like many other top online platforms, Donald Trump’s blog too was lost. Quoting CNBC, Engadget reports that the blog titled ‘From the Desk of Donald J. Trump’ has been permanently shut down.
Trump’s senior aide Jason Miller has confirmed that there are no plans to relaunch the blog. But the decision has been made to do something big and that work is ongoing.
The decision to launch Trump’s blog was made immediately after the former US president was banned from Facebook. It’s hard to keep a blog going, but initially, Trump probably didn’t understand the sense of responsibility towards readers at that time.
After being banned on Facebook and Twitter in the wake of the January 6 Capitol violence, Trump and his team demanded a return to the Internet with a new communication platform. However, Trump’s team focused on doing something new as the blog could not respond.
