Despite passing the last days of the holy month of Ramadan, the world Muslims are not in a mood to embrace the joy of Eidul fitre. Palestine is burning after the Israeli attack on Gaza, the people in big cities of the world like New York, London, Karachi, Rabat are blowing up protesting the attack in the virtual world.
Protests are taking place on social media like Facebook and Twitter under the hashtags ‘Free Palestine’, ‘Israel is a terrorist state’, ‘No more occupation’ and so on.
Instead of the happy message of Eid, many people have changed their profile photos to pictures of the events in Palestine. Condemnation is going on in various posts, pictures and videos.
One of the Facebook posts has brought the late President Hussein Muhammad Ershad to the center of the discussion anew. He wrote the video on the verified Facebook page of Ahsan Adelur Rahman, an MP from Nilphamari. And this video post has been viewed and positive comments have been made by almost millions of netizens.
Dhaka University teacher Mushtaq Ibn Ayub wrote in his long post that Netanyahu is in the grip of Israel and the people of the region. Let’s see if he is saved even after doing so much.
The last ten days of Ramadan in Palestine,
which was supposed to be spent in peaceful prayers, are the days when the country has to face various Israeli attacks and bombings. Please pray for us. You don’t have to be a Muslim to stand by the people of Palestine, you just have to be human.
