The Modi government has moved to Twitter to remove these ‘critical’ tweets. It is learned that a legal request has been made to Twitter to remove 21 tweet messages.
Following the legal request, Twitter authorities blocked a number of tweets.
A Twitter spokesman said in an email statement that Twitter’s policies and local laws were reviewed after receiving a valid legal request. Tweet messages that are against Twitter’s policy are removed and those that are not against the policy but against local law are blocked for certain areas.
