Relatives of expatriates can now easily cash out remittances sent to bKash at any BRAC Bank, City Bank, and any Q-Cash branded ATM booth for a nominal charge of Tk 7 per thousand Taka. Additionally, customers can cash out up to Tk 50,000 per month at two preferred agents for a fee of 14.90 Taka per thousand Taka, while also benefiting from economical cash-out options at ATM booths.
This information was announced by the bKash authorities in a press release on Wednesday. The release stated that customers can avail themselves of this service at approximately 2,500 ATM booths across the country from 19 leading commercial banks, either through the bKash app or by dialing *247#.
bKash’s remittance service is becoming increasingly popular among expatriates as it allows for the easy, instant, and secure transfer of remittances to their loved ones in the country. Currently, bKash has established a robust ecosystem for sending remittances by partnering with over a hundred international money transfer operators (MTOs) and leading commercial banks in the country. This remittance flow, considered one of the lifelines of the economy, strengthens the country’s foreign exchange reserves and helps maintain stability in the national economy.
