The Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has recovered several high-tech devices including drones, button cameras and signal jammers along with huge weapons and ammunitions in a raid at Dopanichhara on the remote border of Bandarban.
This operation was conducted under the leadership of Lieutenant Colonel Hasibul Haque, commander of BGB’s Ruma Battalion (9 BGB) on the basis of intelligence information that a group of mountain terrorists are carrying out activities by setting up shelters in deep forests.
A BGB press release issued on Friday (September 20) informed that 2 automatic carbine assault rifles, 1 semi-automatic assault rifle, 3 SBBLs, 21 rounds of fresh ammunition, 1 high-tech drone, 1 high-tech Signal Jammer, 1 Audio/Video Recorder, 1 Video Camera, 01 Hi-Tech Spy Button Camera, 1 Key Device Hidden Video Recorder, 1 Binoculars, 2 Walkie Talkies, 1 Laptop, 2 Powerful Lights, 1 Solar System, 1 Akash TV Receiver and 1 Umbrella, 2 android mobiles, 2 button mobiles, various domestic sharp weapons, local liquor, 1 helmet and cooking utensils and logistics were recovered.

In this regard, Lieutenant Colonel Hasibul Haque, commander of 9 BGB Ruma Battalion, said that a special anti-terrorist operation was carried out in that hideout, which is located in the hilly forest near the southeast border of Dopanichhara area, approximately five and a half kilometers. Observation post, makeshift armory, rest house, cook house and shelters were destroyed in the operation.
