After the theatrical release, Shakib Khan’s ‘Toofan’ is releasing on OTT platform. Directed by Raihan Rafi, the movie will be released on Chorki and Hoichoi.
The two OTT platforms announced this information in two separate press releases on Sunday. However, the release date has not been announced yet.
On the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha, ‘Tufan’ was released in the theaters of the country on June 17. Immediately after the release, the audience was eager to watch the movie. According to Star Cineplex sources, ‘Toofan’ was the first to sell tickets in June-July. Due to popular demand, the movie is being screened at Cineplex two and a half months after its release.
Those who could not watch the movie for not getting tickets, now they can watch ‘Tufan’ at a convenient time at home. And those who have seen it, they can watch the movie again.
Not only in the country, but outside the country, the ‘Tufan’ has got responses. The movie was released in theaters in United States, Canada, Australia, United Kingdom, France, Belgium, Sweden, Germany, Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Qatar and Oman. The movie was released in Malaysia on August 23.
Some of the songs from the movie like ‘Lage Uradhura’, ‘Dushtu Kokil’ were well received by the audience.
Producer Raihan Rafi said, ‘Many viewers could not see Tufan for not getting tickets. After that, the country’s situation gradually worsened. People were not relieved, theaters were closed. With the release of the movie in Chorki, that wait will end for those interested. The love that the audience has shown for the movie since its release, I hope this love will continue after its release in OTT too.’
Shakib Khan was seen in a dual role in the movie ‘Toofan’. Mimi Chakraborty of India and Nabila of Bangladesh acted against him. There are also Chanchal Chowdhury, Fazlur Rahman Babu, Gazi Rakayet, Salahuddin Lovelu, Shahiduzzaman Salim, Suman Anwar, Gausul Alam Shawon and many others.
The movie is produced by Alpha-Eye Studios Ltd., with digital partner Chorki and SVF as the international distributor.
