The offensive deep fake video of popular South Indian actress Rashmika Mandana has spread in the net world. Since then, the discussion is going on about the video made by manipulation of technology. Amitabh Bachchan demanded to take legal action in this regard. Actress Rashmika Mandana also spoke about this.
Rashmika tweeted about the matter on Monday evening. The actress wrote, ‘I feel very bad talking about my deep fake video spreading in the net world. To be honest, I am worried about this. This is a concern not only for myself, but for everyone who has been harmed by the misuse of technology.’
Thanking everyone, the actress wrote, ‘Today as a woman and an actress, I am also grateful to my family, friends, well-wishers; those who have supported me through this time. But if it would happened in my school or college life, I can’t imagine how I would have handled it. We should all collectively talk about such issues.’
Meanwhile, Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar has reacted to the deep fake video. In a tweet, he said that the Narendra Modi government is committed to ensuring the safety and trust of all digital citizens who use the internet. The minister also commented that under the IT Act passed in April 2023, all platforms are bound to abide by the law to refrain from spreading misinformation. Any person or government reporting false information should be removed within 36 hours. Strict action will be taken against those platforms for violating the law.
