Google has announced an investment in artificial intelligence (AI) company Anthropic. The tech giant is investing $2 billion, said a spokesperson. Google has already invested 500 million dollars. News Reuters.
Technology companies are looking to integrate AI into their operations. Google’s new investment will help it compete with Microsoft. Because Microsoft is investing in OpenAI, the maker of ChatGPT.
Last September, Amazon announced to invest 4 billion dollars in startup company Anthropic to compete with AI-based cloud services.
Google and Amazon have not commented on these investments. The Wall Street Journal has previously published information on Google’s deal with Anthropic in a report.
