Five organizations and one individual received this year’s eighth BRAC Bank & The Daily Star ICT Award. Among them, Kazi Saifuddin Munir, Managing Director and CEO of IT Consultants Limited, was awarded the ICT Business Person of the Year 2022 award. Divine IT in the local market for technical solutions, Dynamic Solution Innovators for the international market and Digital Commerce of the Year was peekaboo.com. Also Startups TruckLagbe and Moner Bondhu has been the ICT Startup of the Year.
Planning Minister MA Mannan presented the award to 6 people who have played an outstanding role in ICT in the last one year at La Méridien Hotel in the capital on Friday night.
Among them, Picaboo.com Co-Founder and CEO Maureen Talukder received the ‘Digital Commerce of the Year’ award. The ‘ICT Startup of the Year’ award was received by Enayet Rashid, CEO of Truck Lagbe and Tawhida Shiropa, CEO of Moner Bondhu.
Mojahedul Haque Abul Hasanat, Chairman and Chief Technology Officer of Dynamic Solution Innovators Limited (DSI) received the ‘ICT Solution Provider of the Year 2023’ crest in recognition of providing high-quality services to the global IT industry.
The ‘ICT Solution Provider of the Year (Local Market)’ award was received by Iqbal Ahmed Fakhrul Hasan, founder CEO of Divine IT Limited.

Mahfuz Anam, publisher and editor of The Daily Star; BRAC Bank Managing Director and CEO Salim RF Hossain and Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS) President Russell T Ahmed were present at the award ceremony.
The Daily Star has been awarding the ICT Award every year since 2016 to encourage the innovation and activities of entrepreneurs working in Information and Communication Technology across the country. Two entrepreneurs and 4 organizations were awarded this medal for their pioneering role and achievements in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector of Bangladesh last year.
