The regional climate conference of South Asian countries is being held at Hotel Sheraton in Dhaka for three days from September 8-10 to deal with environmental issues including e-waste management. Climate change impacts on the environment at the conference; Water Pollution and Management; Future energy and funding through regional cooperation will create a sustainable regional environment.
Apart from host Bangladesh, 13 members of Parliament from India, Nepal and Bhutan are participating in this conference. The Earth, Observer Research Foundation and USAID are participating in the conference organized by Bangladesh Climate Parliament.
Nahim Razzak, convenor of Climate Parliament Bangladesh, said in his welcome speech at the conference organized on Thursday that this hybrid model event will help to gain regional power to compensate for climate impacts.
Parliament member Tanveer Shakeel Joy, UNAID director Anwarul Haque, UNDP Change Initiative Zakir Hossain and Water Aid Perth Hafez Sheikh also spoke at the press conference.
Saber Hossain Chowdhury, the main sponsor of Climate Parliament Bangladesh said in the conference, this summit will be solution-oriented in the regional context. Transboundary relations will be established for present and future citizens through this conference.
