OnePlus’ new smartphone ‘Oneplus 12’ may be unveiled in China in December this year. The design and specifications of this flagship smartphone have already been leaked. And now some important information about the phone’s camera has come out from new sources.
Tipster Digital Chat Station claims in a new Weibo post that the new OnePlus 12 will use a 50-megapixel Sony IMX9X 1/1.4-inch sensor as the primary camera on the back, which will support optical image stabilization. It will be paired with a 64-megapixel Omnivision OV64B periscope zoom camera (a first in the company’s history) with a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens and 3x optical zoom.
Like recent OnePlus flagships, the camera system of the OnePlus 12 will also be optimized by Hasselblad.
Also, various reports suggest that the OnePlus 12 model will come with a 6.7-inch curved-edge AMOLED LTPO display, which will offer 2K resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. For selfies, a 32-megapixel front-facing camera is also said to reside within the punch-hole cutout above the phone’s display.
For enhanced performance, the OnePlus 12 will be powered by Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. This new chipset is expected to be unveiled at Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Summit event next October. This OnePlus phone will offer up to 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
