According to reports, the meeting to be held on Tuesday has been organized by the United Kingdom and the meeting will be chaired by British Foreign Minister James Cleverley.

This month, the United Kingdom holds the presidency of the United Nations Security Council. The country is trying to be a world leader in AI regulation.
Last June, executives from several AI technology companies proposed the creation of an international body similar to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to oversee the use of the technology. UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres supported the proposal.
Tuesday’s meeting will also be briefed by Secretary-General Guterres, along with international experts on AI.
