The US-Bangla Airlines is going to start the 12th international destination of direct flights from the last week of July to Delhi, the capital of India. The company will initially operate flights on the Dhaka-Delhi route four days a week. They plan to operate flights every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday to Delhi, one of the destinations in South Asia.
The US Bengal General Manager (Public Relations) Kamrul Islam informed the matter in a press release on Friday (June 30). He said that US-Bangla is going to fulfill the long-awaited expectations of Bangladeshi tourists, travelers who are eager to get advanced medical services, and students studying in various universities in Delhi. As a friendly nation, the decision to operate US-Bangla flights to India’s capital Delhi will further strengthen the ties between the two countries. Delhi will be US-Bangla’s third direct route to India. US-Bangla Airlines is currently operating flights on Kolkata and Chennai routes in India.
As part of future plans, US-Bangla Airlines is going to start operating flights to Delhi with Boeing 737-800 aircraft. Currently, the US-Bangla fleet has a total of 19 aircraft, including 8 Boeing 737-800 aircraft. For the first time, two Airbus 330s are going to be added to the US-Bangla fleet by next August. With which there is a plan to operate flights from Dhaka to Jeddah route this year.
Apart from Chennai, Kolkata, US-Bangla Airlines is currently operating flights to Dubai, Sharjah, Muscat, Doha, Kuala Lumpur, which is inhabited by expatriate Bangladeshis, Singapore, Male, Bangkok, one of the tourist-friendly destinations and Guangzhou, one of the commercial cities of China.
Recently in the SkyTrax World Airline Awards 2023, US-Bangla Airlines, one of the private airlines of Bangladesh, won the fifth place among South Asian airlines. In addition to international routes, US-Bangla Airlines is operating flights to all domestic destinations in Bangladesh, especially from Dhaka to Cox’s Bazar, Chittagong, Sylhet, Syedpur, Jashore, Rajshahi and Barisal.
