An anti-narcotics awareness camp was held at the Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) under the joint initiative of Narcotics Control Directorate and Info Bangla.
The dean of the faculty of Engineering and Technology and the acting Vice-chancellor Dr. Sunil Dhar was present as the chief guest of the camping held in the central auditorium of the university on Tuesday afternoon.
Director of Student Welfare Department Professor Dr. Md. Rezaul Karim, Presided over the camping while the Director of Chattogram Division of Narcotics Control Directorate Md. Mojibur Rahman Patwari was the main speaker in the program. Narcotics Control Directorate Chattogram District Deputy Director Mukul Jyoti Chakma and Raujan Police Station Officers In-charge Abdullah Al Harun were present as the special speakers.
Ali Ahmed Shaheen, Managing Editor of Dainik Info Bangla, deliverd the note of thanks. Among the students, the student of civil engineering department, S.M. Sanwar Hossain Shimul spoke.
At this time among others CUET student welfare deputy director Dr. Md. Saiful Islam, Daily Info Bangla Managing Editor Mr. Sajal Chowdhury, Joint Editor Mr. Md. Ferdous Jackie and Associate Editor Mr. Didarul Alam were present. Hundreds of students from various departments of CUET participated in the event. Later, anti-drug mementos were given as well as felicitation to meritorious students.
