Two friends Alam and Wajed were killed by a truck while making a TikTok video in Kaliganj upazila of Lalmonirhat district.
On Saturday (June 10) around 8 pm, an accident took place at Teesta Sheikh Hasina bridge area in Kakina Mahipur. The deceased Md. Shah Alam (20) son of Asir Ali of Rudreshwar village in Kakina upazila and Md. Wazed Ali (22) is the son of Hajera Begum, a former member of Kakina Union Parishad and Saidul Mia.
Eyewitnesses said that on Saturday night they were recording Tik Tok videos while moving on the way home after touring the Mahipur Teesta Sheikh Hasina Bridge. On the way, two friends were killed by a cargo truck which started from Burimari.
The Officer-in-Charge (OC Investigation) of Kaliganj Police Station Habibur Rahman confirmed the incident and said that the houses of the two SSC examinees who were killed were in Rudreshwar village of the upazila.
On the same day, Shaheen Alam (30), a motorcycle rider, was crushed by the wheel of a truck in Burimari land port area of Patgram Upazila.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Patgram Police Station Omar Farooq confirmed the incident and said that the truck is in the custody of Patgram Police Station. However, both the driver and the helper escaped.
