Ferdous Mottakin, the South Asia Head of Public Policy and Government Relations of the leading short video platform Tiktok, met with the ICT State Minister Zunaid Ahmed Palak on Wednesday. In the meeting, he highlighted the activities that he has carried out in 16 districts of the country since last year for six months under the title ‘Sabdhane Onlinay’. He also informed the state minister for ICT about the information transparency report requested from the government.
At the same time, various issues were discussed in the meeting, including increasing the awareness of digital literacy of TikTok users, managing social media and increasing employment opportunities for young people on TikTok.
Regarding the discussion, Zunaid Ahmed Palak said that TikTok has a special influence among social media in the country. The Department of Information and Communication Technology had an important discussion with TikTok today on how to use its activities more positively as a social media platform.
ICT State Minister Private Secretary Md. Mushfiqur Rahman, Policy Advisor Md. Abdul Bari, BGD e-GOV CIRT Project Director Saiful Alam Khan, Information and Public Relations Officer Shahidul Alam Majumder were present in the meeting.
