Jatiya Sangsad (National Assembly) Speaker Dr. Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury said that advanced technical knowledge is necessary to face global challenges. She said, the Digital Bangladesh announced by thee Prime Minister is fully effective today. Advanced technological know-how is essential to meet the global challenges of digital Bangladesh. Young people joining the journalism profession will be able to take advantage of the global challenges by making use of their talent and skills.
While speaking as the chief guest at the opening ceremony of ‘Green Television’, the Speaker expressed her views before the audience. The launching of the Green TV was organized by the Green Multimedia Limited at International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB).
The Information Minister Dr. Hasan Mahmud spoke as a special guest on the occasion while the Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal was present as a special guest.
At this time, the Information Minister Dr. Hasan Mahmood unveiled the logo of Green TV.
In the event, the Speaker said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has adopted a long-term plan to build a developed, prosperous and smart Bangladesh. The responsible participation of all, including the media, is absolutely necessary in the process of transforming the indomitable Bangladesh, the explorer of development, into a smart Bangladesh.
The speaker said that the environment should be given importance in conducting all the activities. Post-Covid, television should take action to create widespread public awareness on environment conservation issues by prioritizing the ‘Build Better, Build Greener’ slogan.
Chairman of Rangdhanu Group and patron of Green TV, Rafiqul Islam presided over the launching ceremony while former IGP Dr. Benazir Ahmed gave a welcome speech at the event. The Green TV director Amin Helali delivered his speech on the occasion.
