As per MRP policy, Bangladesh Computer Samity (BCS) held discussion meeting with distributor representatives on formulation of MRP sticker, market monitoring and MRP price display.
Member Secretary of MRP and Online Policy Standing Committee and Vice President of BCS conducted the meeting on Wednesday evening (May 10) at BCS Innovation Center as a joint venture of leading online technology business organizations Mdd. Rashed Ali Bhuiyan. BCS General Secretary Kamruzzaman Bhuiyan and leaders of reputed online technology business organizations were present in the meeting.
In the discussion meeting, the representatives of each technology organization participating in the online MRP implementation shared their views, suggestions and directions regarding the implementation of online MRP principles. Online technology traders also commented that the MRP policy would be beneficial for all if distributors cooperated.
In addition to everyone working sincerely in the implementation of MRP online policy, MRP stickers for technology product distributors, MRP price declaration online and market surveillance as per BCS MRP policy through responsible representatives of respective products and cooperating with BCS appointed officials are seriously considered for implementation of MRP policy. BCS vice-president Mr. Rashed Ali Bhuiyan mentioned that it is only a matter of time.
He also said that BCS formulated the MRP policy in 2018. After taking charge in 2022, we update the MRP policy with utmost importance. We also handed over these policies to government policy makers. I strongly believe that everyone’s efforts will bring success in implementing MRP principles.
BCS General Secretary Kamruzzaman Bhuiyan said that BCS is working with sincerity for the implementation of MRP policy at all levels. It is true that it took us some time due to high dollar value, fluctuating prices and overall situation but traders and buyers will soon reap the benefits of implementing MRP principles. Everyone present in this meeting has taken a firm pledge that they will work together to implement the MRP policy on the principle of ‘Unity is strength’.
The online technology businessmen have asked the distributors to take a look at the decisions taken in the meeting. The visiting representatives of distributor organizations expressed their opinion that they will be with the technology traders.
