City Bank launched Freelancer Account

City Bank Freelancer Account has been launched officially. On Thursday (22 December 2022) a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between City Bank and BFDS in this connection.
BFDS President Dr. Tanjiba Rahman and Card Division Head of Retail Banking Arup Haider signed the agreement on behalf of their respective institutions at the City Bank office in Gulshan.
City Bank MD and CEO Masrur Arefi, Additional Managing Director (AMD) Md. Mahbubur Rahman besides the top persons of both institutions were present.
According to the agreement, City Bank account holder freelancers will get all kinds of loan credit card benefits starting from getting remittance certificate every six months. BFDS President Dr. Tanjiba Rahman said that this facility will be launched in several other banks such as Standard Chartered very soon. She said, immediately after the agreement, this private bank has started operations as a specialized bank for philanthropists.
Earlier, Freelancer Development Society BFDS has signed an agreement with 8 banks including BRAC, IFIC, EBL and UCB for receiving remittances and loan facilities for freelancers.
