The Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina turned emotional with the joy of patriotism while inaugurating the iconic Padma Bridge over the mighty river Padma. In her speech at a grand rally on Saturday (June 25), her whole face was marked by a unique sense of patriotism. At the end of the speech, when the sun was shining bright with all its intensity right above the heads in the the middle of the sky, at 11:58 am, she pressed the switch and unveiled the opening plaque of the bridge and announced ‘Joy Bangla’.
After the inauguration, Saima Wazed Putul, the daughter of the Prime Minister, took a selfie with her mother. After the photo session with her daughter, an office staff of hers handed over a smartphone to the daughter of technology lover Bangabandhu. At first she talked for a few moments and then she shared the happy moment in the video call.
Meanwhile, Test captain Shakib Al Hasan and ODI captain Tamim Iqbal thanked and congratulated the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in a video message from the Caribbean after the inauguration of the long awaited bridge.
