Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) has received the ‘National Environment Medal 2020’ for its special contribution in environmental research and technology innovation, informed BUET authority in a press release on Tuesday, June 7, 2022.
Saber Hossain Chowdhury, Chairman of the Standing Committee on Environment, Forests and Climate Change, presented the medal on behalf of the Prime Minister on June 5 at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center on the occasion of World Environment Day. BUET Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Satya Prasad Majumdar took the award on behalf of the university.
BUET Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Abdul Jabbar Khan, Dean of the Faculty of Electrical and Electronic Engineering Dr. Kazi Deen Mohammad Khasru and Dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Planning Professor Dr. Israt Islam was present.
Bangladesh University of Engineering was finally nominated for the ‘National Environment Medal 2020’ at the institutional level in the ‘Environmental Research and Technology’ category.
