The activities of the ninth and tenth branches of Bangladesh Computer Society (BCS), the largest technology organization in the country, have started. The two branches are Tangail and Rangpur. The journey of Tangail branch started on 12th February this year and Rangpur branch started on 20th February.
The meeting of the BCS Executive Committee on Saturday, May 21 approved the full committee in the two branches on the basis of the consent of the members of the Tangail and Rangpur Branch Committees. Tangail and Rangpur Branch Committees will be in charge till March 30, 2024.
Khandaker Khairul Alam, proprietor of Computer Rain as Chairman in Tangail branch; Biplob Kumar Guha, proprietor of Usha Computer & Telecom, as Vice-chairman; Md. Shafiqul Islam, Proprietor of Islam Computer as Secretary; Mohammad Khalid Haider Khan, proprietor of Computer Future as Joint Secretary; Gouranga Chandra Das, proprietor of Lead Computer as Treasurer; and Mahamudunnabi, proprietor of Creation IT and Pathfinder Computer Systems owner Md. Samaun Hossain will be in charge as members.
In BCS’s Rangpur branch, Md. Mokshedul Islam, Proprietor of Sylhet Technology as Chairman; Silicon Computer owner Md. Rakibul Islam, as Vice-chairman; Md. Ferdous Noor of Taikon Electronics, as Secretary; IT Heart proprietor Kazi Mohammad Rafi as Joint Secretary, Trust Computer Rangpur proprietor Md. Nur-e-Alam Siddiqui, as Treasurer and owner of Azad Computer Md. Junayed Hossain Azad and Computer City Rangpur proprietor Md. Rashed Alamgir will be the member of the branch.
The BCS Central Executive Committee congratulated the Executive Committees of the two new branches. They also hoped that these two branches would play a role in the development of information technology by reaching out to the people of these two regions.
