The Bangladesh ICT Journalists Forum (BIJF) is coming back to the rhythm after crossing the obstacles created by the pandemic. The next election will be announced after Eid. But before that, the decision will be made to accept the pending new members.
The decision was taken at the organization’s annual general meeting and iftar mahfil held in Gulshan on Saturday. At the meeting, the members expressed their gratitude to State Minister for ICT Zunaid Ahmed Palak for providing permanent office to BIJF and also for getting the Posts and Telecommunications Minister Mostafa Jabbar as a permanent member.
Bangladesh Malaysia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BMCCI) President Syed Almas Kabir, e-CAB President Shomi Kaiser and General Secretary Mohammad Abdul Waheed Tamal, ISPAB President Imdadul Haque, BACCO President Wahid Sharif, Bangladesh Computer Association President Subrata Sarkar, former President Shahid ul Munir, top leaders of the sector including, BASIS President Russell T. Ahmed joined the mahfil.
Mojahidul Islam Dheu presided over the annual general meeting after the Iftar Mahfil. Treasurer Enamul Kabir presented the financial report under the direction of General Secretary Hasan Zakir. Rahitul Islam Ruel, a member of the executive committee, answered about the complaints arose.
Senior members of the organization Pallab Mohaimen, Mohammad Abdul Haq Anu, Bhuiyan Enam Lelin and ARF Mahmud Hossain conveyed their directives in the meeting.
During the Iftar ceremony, prayers were offered for the departed soul of Moinuddin Mahmud, a senior member of BIJF family, who died of Covid-19 infection. Special thanks were also extended to Advocate Khandaker Hasan Shahriar, a member of Bangladesh ICT Journalists Forum for resolving organizational complexities.
