Living in this freezing cold and foggy weather, public life has turned icy difficult. Cold air has worsen the situation even further. The low-income people, especially in the northern part of the country, are more affected by the severity of the winter. Jashore University of Science and Technology (JUST) has stood by them to give a little warmth to the cold-stricken, helpless people on the occasion of the birth centenary and Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
On 30th and 31st January, one thousand blankets were distributed among the helpless, destitute, elderly, women and children and small ethnic groups in seven areas of Tentulia Upazila of Panchagarh district.
About the distribution of blankets in this winter, JUST Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Anwar Hossain said , “Blankets have been distributed in the coldest parts of the country to bring smiles on the faces of poor and miserable people as part of social responsibility on the occasion of birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Many students of JUST also participated in the team formed for the distribution of blankets. They are learning about social responsibility.
