For the fourth time, the Department of Physics at Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) organized a two day long 4th International Conference on Physics for Sustainable Development & Technology- ICPSDT 2022 showcasing the advancement of Bangladesh in the field of physics in last 50 years.
In the evening on January 23 (Sunday), CUET Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Mohammad Rafiqul Alam attended the closing ceremony as the chief guest being connected on the virtual platform. A retired professor of physics at CUET Dr. Md. Abdur Rashid attended the ceremony as the special guest.
The conference was chaired by the Technical Chair and Professor of Physics Dr. Md. Mohi Uddin. The technical secretary of the conference and Associate Professor of Physics Dr. Swapan Kumar Roy delivered his speech in the program which was conducted by Associate Professor of Physics Dr. Animesh Kumar Chakraborty.
A total of 101 articles, 5 keynote speeches, 9 invited speeches, 8 technical sessions and a poster session were presented in the two-day conference. The theme of this year’s conference was “The latest advancement in physics education and research on the golden jubilee of Bangladesh’s independence”.
