Oneweb, a UK-based technology company, has launched 36 communications satellites from Kazakhstan. Reuters reported this information quoting an online broadcast on Monday.
OneWeb sent the satellites into orbit as part of a plan to provide high-speed Internet services worldwide, the report said. According to the company’s website, this is the eighth and final launch of the satellite this year with partner Arianspace.
France’s international rocket service provider ArianeSpace, OneWeb, and Russia’s space agency Roscosmos simultaneously broadcast the launch live.
OneWeb is already listed in the United Kingdom, Alaska, Northern Europe, Greenland, Iceland, the United States and Canada to provide Internet connections.
