A total of Tk 2,735 crore 11 lakh 15 thousand worth of sacrificial animals have been sold at the digital market on Eid. e-Cab, the organization that manages the market, has given this information with the daily calculation of the total animal sales in the digital market.
According to the information provided by e-Cab, a total of 1,556 animals have been sold directly from this haat till July 20 through digitalhot.net. Of these, 264 animals were booked for slaughtering. 24 animals are sold in escrow service.
Besides, the total number of visitors in this digital market was 9 lakh 60 thousand 808. Of these, a total of 3 lakh 87 thousand 579 animals have been sold across the country through this digital market. e-Cab has received 615 inbound calls for selling these animals. 127 complaints were settled.
Fisheries and Livestock Minister S. M. Rezaul Karim inaugurated the haat at the national level on July 13 by connecting 241 digital sacrifice haats at the beginning. State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Junaid Ahmed Palak bought a black and white cow in escrow service 3 minutes after the inauguration. Then a total of 664 haats were added to this market.
The haat had been running by Dhaka North City Corporation, Bangladesh Dairy Farmers Association, a2i, Ekshop and e-Cab.
