“অবাক হচ্ছে বিশ্ব এবার,বাংলার শিশুরা প্রোগ্রামার” স্লোগানে শুরু হচ্ছে জাতীয় শিশু কিশোর প্রোগ্রামিং প্রতিযোগিতার দ্বিতীয় পর্ব। চূড়ান্ত প্রতিযোগিতারে আগে আগামী ২২ ও ২৩ মে রাজধানীর খামারবাড়ির কৃষিবিদ ইনস্টিটিউশনে অনুষ্ঠিত হবে প্রশিক্ষকদের প্রশিক্ষণ কর্মশালা।
দু’দিনের কর্মশালায় নির্বাচিত শেখ রাসেল ডিজিটাল ল্যাবের আইসিটি শিক্ষক, ইয়াং বাংলা থেকে ল্যাব কোর্ডিনেটর ও জেলা কোর্ডিনেটরগণকে পাইথন ও স্ক্র্যাচ বিষয়ে প্রশিক্ষণ দেয়া হবে। এরপরই শুরু হবে প্রতিযোগিতার গুরুত্বপূর্ণ পর্ব তথা জেলা ক্যাম্পিং।
জেলা পর্যায়ে ২০০ টি শেখ রাসেল ডিজিটাল ল্যাবে প্রশিক্ষণ ও প্রতিযোগিতা অনুষ্ঠিত হবে। যেকোন বিদ্যালয়ের ৩য়-৫ম (স্ক্রাচ) এবং ৬ষ্ঠ-১০ম (পাইথন জুনিয়র এবং সিনিয়র) শ্রেণীর শিক্ষার্থীরা এসব ভেন্যু থেকে প্রশিক্ষণ গ্রহণ ও প্রতিযোগিতায় অংশগ্রহণ করতে পারবে।
গতবারে একশ ৮০ টি হলেও এবার দেশের ৬৪ জেলায় ২০০টি ‘শেখ রাসেল ডিজিটাল ল্যাবকে’কেন্দ্র করে এই প্রতিযোগিতার আয়োজন করা হবে। ডাক, টেলিযোগাযোগ ও তথ্যপ্রযুক্তি মন্ত্রণালয়ের আইসিটি ডিভিশন ও তারুণ্যের প্লাটফর্ম ‘ইয়াং বাংলা’ এ প্রতিযোগিতার আয়োজক।
বিগত কয়েক বছর সাধারণত এই প্রতিযোগিতাটি “হাই স্কুল প্রোগ্রামিং কন্টেস্ট” নামে করা হয়েছিলো ক্লাস ৬-১২ এর শিক্ষার্থীদের জন্য। যেখানে একটি অংশ(বৃহৎ) কুইজ প্রতিযোগিতায় অংশ নেয় এবং অপর একটি অংশ(ক্ষুদ্র) C/C++ ভিত্তিক প্রব্লেম সল্ভিং কন্টেস্ট এ অংশগ্রহণ করে।
সূত্রমতে, এই আয়োজন সরকারের লক্ষ্য পূরণ করতে না পারায় ডাক ও টেলিযোগাযোগ মন্ত্রী মোস্তাফা জব্বার আয়োজনটিতে বাংলাদেশ কম্পিউটার কাউন্সিল(বিসিসি) এর সাথে ইয়াং বাংলা কে অন্তর্ভূক্ত করেন।
দ্বিতীয়বারের মতো আয়োজিত এই প্রতিযোগিতায় সারাদেশে শেখ রাসেল ডিজিটাল ল্যাবে জেলা পর্যায়ের স্ক্র্যাচ ও পাইথন এই দুই বিভাগে প্রোগ্রামিং প্রতিযোগিতা অনুষ্ঠিত হবে। তৃতীয়-পঞ্চম শ্রেণির শিক্ষার্থীদের জন্য ‘স্ক্র্যাচ’ এবং ষষ্ঠ-দশম শ্রেণির শিক্ষার্থীদের জন্য ‘পাইথন’ রাখা হয়েছে।এছাড়া এবার সদ্য এসএসসি পাশ করা শিক্ষার্থীরাও অংশগ্রহণ করতে পারবে জানিয়েছে আয়োজকসূত্র।
সূত্রমতে, এবার প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনা বিজয়ীদের হাতে পুরস্কার তুলে দেবেন।
সংশ্লিষ্টরা জানান, প্রাথমিক পর্যায়ে দেশের ৬৪ জেলায় নির্বাচিত ২০০টি ল্যাবে শুরু হবে শিক্ষার্থীদের প্রশিক্ষণ। প্রত্যেকটি ল্যাবে ওই অঞ্চলের সবকটি স্কুলের শিক্ষার্থীরা প্রশিক্ষণ নিতে পারবে। প্রতিটি ল্যাবে গড়ে ৭৫জন করে দেশব্যাপী প্রায় ১৫০০০ শিক্ষার্থীকে এই প্রশিক্ষণের অন্তর্ভুক্ত করা হবে।
প্রতিযোগিতা শুরুর আগে আইসিটি শিক্ষক এবং ল্যাব প্রশিক্ষক তার ল্যাবের সেরা প্রতিযোগীদের বাছাই করবেন। প্রতি ল্যাব থেকে স্ক্র্যাচের জন্য ৩জন করে টিম গঠন করা হবে, ৫টি টিমে মোট ১৫জন শিক্ষার্থী প্রতিটি ল্যাব থেকে স্ক্র্যাচ প্রতিযোগিতায় অংশ নেবে। পাইথনের জন্য প্রতিটি ল্যাব থেকে ১৫জন শিক্ষার্থী এককভাবে অংশ নেবে। প্রাথমিক ভাবে বাছাইকৃত শিক্ষার্থীদের নিয়ে জেলা পর্যায়ে ক্যাম্প ও প্রতিযোগিতা অনুষ্ঠিত হবে।
জেলা পর্যায়ে বিজয়ীদের নিয়ে জাতীয় ক্যাম্প ও প্রতিযোগিতা অনুষ্ঠিত হবে সাভার শেখ হাসিনা যুব উন্নয়ন কেন্দ্রে। প্রতি জেলা থেকে বিজয়ী স্ক্র্যাচ টিম এবং বিজয়ী পাইথন প্রতিযোগীরা জাতীয় ক্যাম্পে যোগ দিয়ে ফাইনাল প্রতিযোগিতায় অংশ নিবে।সেখান থেকে বাছাই করা হবে সেরা টিম।
