Compared to April this year, the number of mobile subscribers in the country has increased by 11 lakh 70 thousand in May. Bangladesh Telecommunications Regulatory Authority BTRC has conveyed the information.
As per BTRC, the total number of mobile subscribers in the country is 17 crore 52 lakh 70 thousand.
Of these, Grameenphone has 8 crore 15 lakh 40 thousand, Robi has 5 crore 15 lakh 80 thousand, Banglalink has 3 crore 63 lakh 30 thousand and Teletalk has 58 lakh 20 thousand subscribers.
A comparative analysis has shown that the number of Grameenphone subscribers has increased by 10 lakh 30 thousand, Banglalink by 1 lakh 40 thousand and Teletalk by 70 thousand in the month of May as compared to April. Only Robi has lost customers. The company lost about 60,000 customers in this period of time.
According to the BTRC, the rate of teledensity in the country at the end of May is 103.01 percent.
