For branding Bangladesh in the world market, the concept of ‘Made in Bangladesh’ will be promoted and steps have been taken to ensure it by providing a special tax holiday facility in the proposed budget of 2021-22.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said this while participating in the general discussion on the proposed budget for the fiscal year 20221-22 in Parliament on Tuesday.
She also said that with the aim of developing the domestic industry, the customs duty VAT exemption would be extended and the tax holiday facility would be continued for 10 years.
The parliamentary leader further said that there was not much scientific research in the field of health in the country. Emphasis has been placed on this research in the forthcoming budget.
The Prime Minister also spoke about the various initiatives and plans taken by the government for the development of the country and the welfare of the people.
