Police have recovered the hanging body of a man from Sheikhpara in Rajshahi. The body of the man was found hanging from a rented house in Sheikhpara area of the city on Tuesday morning, informed Boalia police.
The deceased was identified as Anwarul Islam Tutul. He was associated with an organization called Sonar Bangla Dream IT and is an IT freelancer by profession.
Meanwhile, after the news of the rescue of Tutul’s corpse was published, a Facebook status of him went viral. In a Facebook post, he described being in debt.
In the status published at 11:13 am on Monday, he wrote, “I have been suffering from the food crisis in my house for the last 3 months. My wife has been struggling to get food. I could not stay any longer. I am leaving. I have no choice but to. If possible, please make arrangements for my wife, son and daughter to live.
In the same status, Tutul said that he owes Tk 17 lakh to Abdus Salam Palash of Rex IT in Dhaka.
Boalia Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Nibaran Chandra Barman said police were investigating Tutul’s death and the case of fraud.
It can be noted that in 2019, Rex IT was accused of cheating in the name of online marketing. At that time, the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the police had launched an investigation against Palash on charges of cheating.
