SpaceX has achieved a new milestone as a private spacecraft. The company’s Crew Dragon has successfully landed on the International Space Station (ISS). This is the first time a rocket has been used for the second time.
In addition, for the first time, SpaceX has carried passengers from three different organizations (NASA, ESA and JAXA) together. The Crew Dragon joined the ISS at 5:07 a.m. ET on Saturday and the astronauts began entering the station at 6:15 p.m. ET.
This mission includes Shane Kimberg and Megan MacArthur of NASA, Thomas Pesquet of ESA and Ashiko Hosaid of JAXA. They will stay at ISS for about six months for various studies there. At present, the station has a total of 11 astronauts. However, four astronauts of Crew-1 will return from there on April 26.
Apparently, SpaceX has a schedule to carry astronauts to ISS till 2023.
