Portable Document Format (PDF) software was launched in 1982 by Adobe co-founder Charles Geschke. Adobe is also a developer of many audio-visual software.
And in the 81st spring of his life, he breathed his last in California, USA on Friday.
Adobe CEO Shantanu Narain said Geschke, better known as Chuck, “sparked the desktop publishing revolution.” So his departure is a big loss for the entire Adobe community and the technology industry. Because he was a guide for many and a hero for many.”
“As co-founders of Adobe, Chuck and John Warnock created groundbreaking software that changed the way people communicate,” he wrote in an email to employees.
During his lifetime, former US President Barack Obama awarded the National Medal of Technology to Geschke and Warnock in 2009.
