Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader has directed the use of GPS technology in BRTC bus trip management.
He gave the instructions while attending a virtual function from the government residence on Sunday (April 11).
Meanwhile, 242 officers of Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation-BRTC announced a gratuity of Tk 3 crore for their employees.
Instructing the BRTC to use digital technology for revenue management including trip management and ticketing, the bridge minister said, “Irregularities in the use of digital technology are reduced. GPS technology can be used in trip management. Then it will be easy to know where the car is.
The bridge minister also said that the use of technology is essential for the expansion of BRTC’s network and the development of the company’s management skills.
