Bangladesh University of Science and Technology (BUET) authority has decided to conduct a preliminary test for primary selection before the final admission test for 2020-’21 intake. After screening through a preliminary test, the final admission test will be held on 10 June 2021. The decision has been taken in a meeting of the University Academic Council. A press release delivered by BUET authority confirmed the decision on Tuesday, 2 March.
A preliminary test for the first time in BUET will be held before the final admission test. For primary selection, the preliminary test will be held in the last week of May.
The decision has been made for giving a chance to a higher number of admission seekers, The press release notified. Prof. Satya Prasad Majumder, Vice-Chancellor of BUET tells, “…as the result of HSC and equivalent is much better this year, more number of students are likely to seek admission in BUET. But it’s not possible to allow all of them in the admission test. That’s why they opted for primary selection in this process.”
