A five-day admission fair for the Spring semester is currently underway at Bangladesh University. The fair, held on the university campus, features 11 stalls set up by various faculties and departments. The stalls showcase a range of student innovations and research, drawing the attention of prospective students and their parents. Among the notable exhibits are smart bins, bionic hands, and solar cars, created by students from the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering.
The fair was officially inaugurated on Sunday morning at the permanent campus in Adabor, Mohammadpur, by Acting Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Mohammad Jahangir Alam. Also present at the opening were the Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration and Economics, Professor Dr. Mohammad Tajul Islam, the Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Social Science, and Law, Professor Mohammad Humayun Kabir, along with departmental heads, faculty members, and a large number of students, staff, and employees.
Regarding the fair, Deputy Registrar (PR) Sohel Ahsan Nipu said, “At this year’s admission fair, prospective students have the opportunity to learn about various departments and explore the university’s facilities firsthand. Additionally, students can directly interact with senior faculty members to gather detailed information on higher education and guidance on contemporary educational trends.”
During the fair, students wishing to enroll in various departments for the Spring semester will also be offered discounts on course fees, ranging from 20% to 100%, based on their SSC and HSC results. Additionally, students will receive a waiver of 5,000 to 10,000 Taka. The fair will run daily from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM and will conclude on Thursday, December 26.
