Tarik Hasan, a CNG auto-rickshaw driver from the Dholia area of Feni city, lives with his parents and three sisters. His mother, Farida Akter, had a wish to bring a fridge into their home. To fulfill her wish, Tarik used his savings of 29,300 taka to purchase a Walton-branded fridge. This purchase changed his life. Through Walton’s ‘Double Million’ offer, Tarik won 20 lakh taka. Prior to him, Rana Islam from Dinajpur and college student Rashed Ali from Meherpur had also won 20 lakh taka after purchasing Walton fridges.
On Thursday, Walton issued a press release announcing this news. It stated that during a grand event held at the WAPDA ground in Feni, Walton’s Senior Executive Director and popular actor Amin Khan presented a check of 20 lakh taka to Tarik Hasan. The event was also attended by Walton’s Deputy Chief Marketing Officer Zoheb Ahmed, comedian Abu Hena Rony, editor of the weekly Muhuri newspaper Fazlur Rahman Bakul, local businessmen Anwar Hossain Patwari, Jafar Uddin, and Gias Uddin Helal, Walton Plaza’s (West) Chief Sales Executive Wahiduzzaman Tanvir, and Ariful Islam from Walton Plaza (East), along with other senior officials of the company.
Walton’s Digital Campaign Season-21, which began on October 10, 2024, is currently running across the country. Under the ‘Double Million’ offer of this season, customers purchasing fridges, TVs, washing machines, or BLDC fans from any Walton Plaza, dealer showroom, or the online sales platform ‘E-Plaza’ are eligible for the chance to win 20 lakh taka, along with assured cash vouchers worth crores of taka.
Under this campaign, Tarik Hasan purchased a fridge from Walton Plaza on Shaheed Shaheedullah Kaisar Road in Feni on November 19, 2024. His name, mobile number, and the fridge’s digital registration were recorded. Shortly afterward, he received an SMS on his mobile confirming his 20 lakh taka prize from Walton.
