The LAN event of the Asian Esports Games 2024 is set to take place from November 23 to December 2 at the Hua Mak Indoor Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. Bangladesh will participate with two teams competing in the Mobile Legends Bang Bang – Female and eFootball tournaments.
Representing Bangladesh in Mobile Legends Bang Bang are esports athletes Zubaida Anjum Prova, Rahma, Mariam, Meherunnesa, and Selina Sara. In eFootball, ASM Nesar Uddin will lead the country’s charge.
The Bangladesh Youth Development and Electronic Sports Association (BYDESA), with support from MSI and Star Tech, organized the national championship to select these teams. A press conference and jersey unveiling ceremony were held on November 16 at the BCS Computer City in Agargaon during the City IT Mega Fair 2024. At the event, the athletes were honored by MSI and BCS Computer City.
Notable attendees included BYDESA Vice President Mohammad Bin Enam, Acting General Secretary Aga Rafsan, Treasurer Fazle Rabbi, Deputy Director Md. Nafiz Alam, and eFootball Counselor Imran Ali. Representatives from the Bangladesh Esports Athlete Committee (BESAC), BCS Computer City President A.L. Mozhar Imam Chowdhury, and other officials were also present.
MSI representatives, including Product Managers Mohammad Touhid Hossain and Md. Humayun Kabir, and Star Tech Managing Director Md. Zahid Ali Bhuiyan, extended their support to the athletes.
BYDESA is a member of several global esports organizations, including the International Esports Federation (IESF), Global Esports Federation (GEF), and Asian Esports Federation (AESF).
