The National Board of Revenue (NBR) has urged businesses and service recipients to submit their VAT returns online. The agency highlighted that filing returns in paper format may lead to records not being uploaded to the VAT Online System or properly preserved by taxpayers, potentially causing issues in the future.
In a press release issued on Wednesday, November 13, the NBR emphasized that submitting VAT returns online is a simple process, encouraging taxpayers to “file online for a hassle-free experience.”
The release also stated that all VAT commissionerates, divisional offices, and circle offices are equipped to assist taxpayers in filing VAT returns online. Taxpayers can seek the necessary support from their respective VAT offices.
