WhatsApp is known for its constant efforts to bring innovative features to its users. The Meta-owned platform frequently makes headlines for rolling out new functionalities. This time, WhatsApp is making news with the upcoming release of its AI-powered “Chat Memory” feature.
According to WABetaInfo, the new feature has been spotted in the beta version of WhatsApp for Android 2.24.22.9. The feature is designed to enhance users’ personal experiences by enabling Meta’s AI chatbot to automatically remember previously shared information. By recalling these details, WhatsApp aims to provide users with more accurate and personalized responses.
A shared screenshot highlights how Meta’s AI chatbot will be able to remember personal details such as whether a user is vegetarian, their birthday, and even their preferred communication style. It will also be able to recall information about the user’s favorite books, documentaries, and podcasts. However, users will have the option to delete any stored information if desired.
For now, the feature is available in the beta version, and the stable release is expected soon.
