Civil society has expressed concern about what the interim government is thinking about digital transformation or how important freelancing will be in creating jobs. Suggestions have been made to emphasize the necessary reforms in society through automation and voting. However, the experts have stressed the importance of moving ahead with reforms without looking at the government. Therefore, reformation within the party and empowerment of every member without focusing entirely on the person in leadership is essential. It has been demanded to verify the public opinion with OTP in a small message on the mobile phone.
The people concerned raised these points in the civil dialogue held on Tuesday at Sagar Runi Hall of Dhaka Reporters Unit to eliminate discrimination and promote equality, human dignity, democracy and social justice. This dialogue was organized on the occasion of the debut of the ‘Voice for Reform’ civic committee with young people and intellectuals from different walks of life. It was informed on the occasion that ‘repair talk’ will be held at KIB Institute in the capital on October 4 on the raised demands and proposals. It is there that the specific outline of civic thinking will be presented. And such citizens will continue the continuous dialogue.
Media activist Manzoor Al Mateen, among the co-coordinators of the Force of Reform, said that through such a discussion, they want to highlight the ideas of different levels to the government.
Photographer and human rights activist Shahidul Alam said, through collective surveillance, our leaders listen to our concerns. We want to ensure accountability by fostering a culture of listening more and talking less. Emphasis will be placed on the implementation of good laws.
Human rights activist Ashok Barua, labor rights activist Ruhul Amin, central coordinator of anti-discrimination student movement Shahinur Sumi, coordinator of East West University Nazifa Jannat, media expert Saiyeet Kabir and others were present. Information technology expert Fahim Mashroor conducted the program.
He said, automation is the precondition for reforms. AI can be the most effective solution for this. But today we will listen to all citizens. I have made this platform to collect all suggestions and hand them over to the government. That is why we have various age groups and professionals represented on this platform. This is how we really want to make an inclusive platform.
