The contractual appointment of M A N Siddique as the Managing Director (MD) of Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) has been cancelled. His appointment was canceled in a notification issued by the Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges on Monday.
Apart from this, in another office order, DMTCL’s Additional Project Director (Additional Secretary) Mohammad Abdur Rauf has been given current duties in his place. He was the company secretary earlier. He was then assigned as Additional Project Director of MRT 5.
M A N Siddique joined Bangladesh Civil Service Administration Cadre in 1983. On September 3, 2014, he became the Secretary of the Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges. He held this position till October 11, 2017. After his retirement, he was contractually appointed as the MD of DMTCL by the government.
