The Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of the University of Information Technology and Sciences (UITS) conducted an international webinar on “QS World University Ranking” on Tuesday. The discussion meeting was held in the Conference Room of UITS from 2 pm to 3:30 pm. All faculty members of English, Social Work, Law, Business Studies, CSE, IT, EEE, ECE, Pharmacy and Civil Engineering departments of the university participated in the meeting.
QS Regional Manager Rami Awad was the keynote speaker in the webinar. He discussed the QS ranking system and the factors that determine the university’s position.
Organizers said the seminar is creating a unique opportunity to exchange experience and knowledge in the field of research activities and international university ranking. Vice-Chancellor of UITS, Prof. Dr. Md. Abu Hasan Bhuiyan was present at the webinar as the chief guest.
Under the supervision of UITS IQAC Director Engineer Md. Safayet Hossain, University Treasurer Professor Dr. Siraj Uddin Ahmed, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Engineering Dr. Md. Ashraful Islam, Dean of the Faculty of Business Dr. Farooq Hasan, Head of Department and more than 100 teachers actively participated in the session.
