Many of the supporters are campaigning for their preferred candidates on social media and groups. In this case, there are allegations of breaking electoral discipline. However, 1 thousand 364 voters want to vote spontaneously to choose 11 of the final 24 candidates in a peaceful and harmonious environment without considering the propaganda.
According to sources, this year’s polls may be held at the Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib Convention Hall (5th floor) in Shahbagh, Dhaka. However, according to the election schedule, the venue has not been confirmed yet. At the same time, there is no candidate familiarization meeting in the list.
However, as per the Election Conducting Rules, there is scope for group-based candidate familiarization meetings under the management of the Board Chairman. For this, the board can collect the contribution from each candidate at the same rate. On the other hand, as no second panel has come so far, the voters are still not able to feel the heat of the polling ground. The issue of election promises is still in a state of disarray. There is not that much competition in the competition of independent candidates. Candidates of personal image are leading the field so far.
