Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina informed that advanced technology is being used to improve the skills of the armed forces members to build a modern army.
On Saturday, March 2, while speaking at the third core reunion ceremony of the infantry regiment in Rajshahi cantonment in the morning, she said that the government is trying to provide advanced technology, modern war equipment for the modernization of the armed forces, increasing the capacity to face the challenges of the 21st century and increasing the overall efficiency. For this, a significant number of new infantry divisions, brigades, units and training institutions have been established in the army.
The Prime Minister said, it is emphasized to give importance to advanced training and modernization to increase the overall skills of the army members. Training duration has been extended for basic training and institutional upgrading of cadets. Where cadets are getting an opportunity to complete graduation in various subjects. Training facilities in various formations have been expanded for enhanced training of recruits.
While speaking as the chief guest, Sheikh Hasina said, ‘The members of the infantry regiment will be able to successfully fulfill their assigned duties including safeguarding security and sovereignty. Thus, will contribute to the formation of Smart Bangladesh by exhibiting professionalism and skills in all areas of career.’
Army Chief General SM Shafiuddin Ahmed along with senior army officers were present on the occasion.
