The Election Appeal Board is headed by a former president of BCS S.M. Iqbal; the other members of the board are: Chief Executive of Metronet Bangladesh Limited and former director of FBCCI, Syed Almas Kabir; and the owner of Advanced Computer Technology (ACT) Engineer Aslam Chowdhury.
According to the list of valid candidates received on Thursday, voting is not taking place in Barisal, Rajshahi, Tangail, Chattogram, Cumilla, Kushtia, Jashore, Khulna and Mymensingh branches like the central election. Candidates are elected unopposed. However, polling will be held in Sylhet and Rangpur branches out of 11 branches. Because, against 7 posts, there are 11 valid candidates in Sylhet and 14 in Rangpur.
