EC will provide four live updates on the ‘Smart Election Management BD’ app
Election Commission Secretary Md. Jahangir Alam said that on the day of the 12th National Assembly Elections, the mobile network and internet connection of the country will be fully operational. We have talked to all the mobile networking systems we have. All will be running at full swing.
Election Commission Secretary Md. Jahangir Alam informed the matter at a press briefing on “Smart Election Management Apps” at the Election Commission Media Center on Monday (January 1, 2023) afternoon.
The EC Secretary said that on the day of the election, the election commission will publish the vote count on the smart app every two hours.
He said, through an app called ‘Smart Election Management BD’, all the information will be available on the election day. The app has already been released on Play Store and Apple Store.
In response to a question from the journalists, Jahangir Alam said, ‘Home, information, results and analysis’ – the Election Commission has published the app in these four pillars. Citizens will get the opportunity to use the app by registering their mobile number and NID.
Besides, the EC Secretary also said that the overall direction and situation of the vote will be officially informed at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center on January 6.
EC Additional Secretary Ashok Kumar Debnath, Joint Secretary Abdul Baten and NID Director General AKM Humayun Kabir were present at the time among others.
