Cloud software giant Salesforce has announced plans to hire 2,000 new sales representatives to drive the sales of its AI tools, according to a report by Reuters.
The announcement was made by Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff during a company event on Tuesday. This hiring plan doubles what Benioff had earlier suggested in an interview with Bloomberg last month. He revealed that the company has already received 9,000 referrals for these positions.
Salesforce is gearing up for the launch of its second-generation AI Agent software, expected in February. Speaking on TechCrunch’s Equity Podcast, Benioff shared his excitement about the company’s growth potential, stating, “I have never been more excited at Salesforce, possibly in my career.”
Benioff also expressed confidence that Salesforce would manage over one billion agents within the next 12 months, showcasing the growing demand for generative AI technologies.
This significant hiring initiative is expected to further strengthen Salesforce’s market position as the demand for AI-driven products and technologies continues to rise.
