Bitcoin, the world’s most popular cryptocurrency, has reached an all-time high, trading at $81,000 per coin, according to Reuters. This record-breaking surge follows the announcement of Donald Trump’s victory in the U.S. election and his supportive stance on digital currencies.
The price climbed sharply after the November 5 election, crossing $76,000 almost immediately. This latest valuation is more than double Bitcoin’s lowest price this year, which fell to $38,505. On Monday, it reached an intraday peak of $81,899.
Market analysts believe that Bitcoin’s price could rise even further in the near term.
